Youth Engage in Floor Curling Training Program
Young sports enthusiasts are gearing up for an exciting venture as the “Introducing Floor Curling to Young People with Sustainable Green Energy” project begins its local training course in Amsterdam. Developed to nurture talents and promote sustainability, this initiative aims to enhance the skills of budding athletes while embracing eco-friendly practices.
The training program, slated to run September 4, 2023, to February 19, 2024, is set to engage 30 youngsters between the ages of 14 and 29. Led by professional sports trainers and youth workers, the 12-week program will focus on honing fundamental skills, refining techniques, and fostering strategic thinking in floor curling.
The curriculum is meticulously designed to cater to players of lower proficiency levels, gradually building competence through a structured progression of sessions. From mastering basic skills to delving into advanced strategies and competitive gameplay, participants will undergo a comprehensive journey aimed at unleashing their full potential on the curling rink.

Central to the training methodology is innovative approaches such as consistent practice routines, video analysis for performance enhancement, guest coaching sessions featuring experienced players, and a focus on physical fitness and mental preparation. Moreover, the program underscores inclusivity, ensuring individuals with diverse physical abilities can actively participate and thrive.
