“Vermicomposting: The Future of Sustainable Agriculture and Organic Waste Management in Europe” Project’s Transnational Project Meeting Was Held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on 26 April 2024

The Powerworms project team gathered for an engaging 4th Transnational Project Meeting in Amsterdam on April 26, focusing on sustainable agriculture and organic waste management.

The morning session opened with introductions and a comprehensive review of the project’s plan and timeline, followed by engaging presentations and discussions. After a lunch break, the afternoon was dedicated to strategies for disseminating and exploiting project results, task and finance management, and collaborative planning for future initiatives. The session concluded with a Q&A, certification distribution, and closing remarks.

Impact:
The “Vermicomposting: The Future of Sustainable Agriculture and Organic Waste Management in Europe” project aimed to study, research, and verify the production techniques and specifications of vermicomposting for safe, sustainable, nutritious and healthy food production. The project developed online educational materials and held training activities for farmers, producers, consumers, and sector professionals.
