“Vermicomposting: The Future of Sustainable Agriculture and Organic Waste Management in Europe” Project’s Training Course Was Held in Patras, Greece, on 30 January – 03 February 2023.
We discuss the ideal conditions for developing a composting facility. Vermicomposting was again at the core of discussions. Participants exchanged scientific and practical knowledge as well as good practices.
Activity took place in Patras Scientific Park which serves as an incubator for impact startups. The model itself was another good practice that gathers parties to have a huge impact in tje region.
Project aims to develop an application to help vermicomposting practicians. We also discussed the functions, design and development phases of this output.

Impact:
The “Vermicomposting: The Future of Sustainable Agriculture and Organic Waste Management in Europe” project aimed to study, research, and verify the production techniques and specifications of vermicomposting for safe, sustainable, nutritious and healthy food production. The project developed online educational materials and held training activities for farmers, producers, consumers, and sector professionals.
