Introducing Floor Curling to Young People with Sustainable Green Energy project team held study visits to key sports centres in Amsterdam.

Participants from the Ankara Directorate of Youth and Sport, Umitkoy Ice Sports Club, and ILA visited:

– Sporthallen Zuid, which is known to be the biggest sports facility in Amsterdam. The multi-purpose venue boasts well-equipped halls which provide a perfect ambience to host sporting and cultural events.

– Sports Hall Calvin is another sports centre run by the Amsterdam Municipality. The hall has a connection with a school and hosts 16 types of sports activities. The Hall is known as the former Ajax sports school.

– ALTC DDV is one of the oldest tennis clubs in the Netherlands with a rich tennis tradition. DDV has a large, social, and inclusive tennis community.

Impact:
The “Introducing Floor Curling to Young People with Sustainable Green Energy” project increased the qualifications of people and sports organizations in floor curling sports. The project supported disadvantaged youth who wanted to discover their talents and become active and professional athletes.
