Innovative Youth Training on “Innovation and Youth Work” Concludes in Amsterdam

Amsterdam, August 29, 2023 – As a part of the “Introducing Floor Curling to Young People with Sustainable Green Energy” project, ILA hosted an enlightening training session on “Innovation and Youth Work” today in Amsterdam with 26 enthusiastic individuals from the youth field.

The training aimed to equip participants with a deep understanding of the symbiotic relationship between innovation and youth work, emphasising the importance of fostering a culture of creativity and forward-thinking among the younger generation.

Participants were taken through a comprehensive curriculum with theoretical knowledge, practical examples, interactive activities, and case studies to offer a holistic perspective. Tools and techniques for fostering innovation, understanding barriers to innovation in youth work, and strategies to overcome them were some of the core topics covered.

A notable event highlight was the interactive activity where participants worked in groups to design innovative youth projects. This exercise showcased the immense potential of young minds when given the right tools and guidance.

All participants were presented with certificates of attendance, marking the successful completion of the training. The organisers expressed their gratitude to everyone involved, emphasising that the learnings from this training would undoubtedly have a lasting impact on youth work and beyond.

The “Introducing Floor Curling to Young People with Sustainable Green Energy” project, under which this training was organised, aims to combine sports, sustainability, and innovation in a unique blend. By teaching young individuals about sustainable green energy through the engaging medium of floor curling, the project hopes to inspire a new generation of eco-conscious innovators.
