Exploring Sustainable Practices: A Study Visit to Organica Nova Orgalife
On the second day of the Powerworms project training, participants visited Organica Nova Orgalife, a company known for producing organic fertilizer from California red worms. Established in 1985, Organica Nova has a long history in organic fertilizer production, combining traditional methods with modern techniques. The visit provided an opportunity to learn about their products, including Orgalife, a liquid organic microbiological fertilizer, and ORGALIFE Solid, a solid fertilizer, both derived from worm castings. Attendees also toured the production facility, gaining insights into the process of creating these fertilizers and the company’s commitment to sustainable natural food production practices. This visit offered valuable knowledge on the practical aspects of vermicomposting and its applications in organic agriculture.
