Closure Meeting Marks End of the “European Human Rights Network of Towns” Project

The “European Human Rights Network of Towns” project commenced on 01-06-2022 and was concluded with an online Closure Meeting on 30-09-2023.

Throughout the project’s duration, several transnational project meetings were organized. These were held online in various cities such as Palermo, Italy; Rychnov Nad Kneznou, Czechia; and Torres Novas, Portugal. In addition to these international gatherings, a local activity was also conducted in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The primary aim of this initiative was to consolidate local resources and to inform by local citizens about the obstacles they face in fully enjoying their human rights. As a result of these efforts, new local civic activism groups and networks were established, and a stronger emphasis was placed on promoting human rights, diversity, and inclusion.

With the project now concluded, its contributions to the local communities and its emphasis on human rights will undoubtedly be felt for years.
